St George Girls High School - Double Multidisiplinary Sports Facilities Upgrade

NSW Department of Education, School Infrastructure engaged NSW Sports and Recreational Facilities to upgrade the current asphalt sporting courts. The facilities were inadequate and needed significant upgrades. The scope of work included the entire area surrounding the courts, requiring careful planning and considerations for the use of the space. Undercover stadium seating, court resurfacing, stormwater systems, vandal-proof lighting, new sports facility equipment were required, upgrade all existing services and landscaping of the areas accessing the upgraded sporting facilities.

All works were carried out during the school holidays and in a live school environment without impacting and day to day school activities.

Works Completed

Installation of 'Ages Build' designed double reinforced, semi suspended concrete slab.

Demolition of existing tiered courts

Design and Construction of civil services

Construction of new concrete ramps and paths with balustrades and handrails where required

Design and Construction of new level courts and the associated landscaping

Supply and Installation of fencing

Design and Construct new storage shed

Design and Construct under cover stadium seating

Construction of new sandstone retaining walls

Supply and Installation of sports equipment and furniture
